Bonjour, College Project people!

It’s been a few weeks since I last posted, and I have some exciting news! If you have been following the Facebook group, you have probably already heard this news, but I wanted to announce it on the blog for everyone to see.

A few months ago, I went over to Uphill Studios in Lawrenceville, GA (one of our amazing and much appreciated sponsors!) to record one of the early tracks for Sean Hill’s upcoming album. Soon after, he entered “Sing For You” in an international songwriting contest. And to be perfectly honest, I had completely forgotten he had even entered the song..

Last week, Sean got some seriously exciting news when he was notified that “Sing For You” had placed SECOND in the contest! This is such an amazing accomplishment, and I am so happy the honor was given to such a deserving person. The simplicity and purity of this song is something so special, and I’m thrilled that the heart of “Sing For You” has been felt by so many talented writers. Just wanted to give a shout out of congrats to Sean and all the talented people at Uphill Studios who made this song happen! Look for this song with many other great tracks on Sean’s upcoming album, “Waking Dawn,” due out September 27th.

You can find more info about the contest details, judges, and other entries here: http://allaboutworship.com/2011/07/songwriting-contest-winners-announced/.

Hey, everybody! I know it has been forever and a day since I last posted, but I promise I am taking this week to get this site updated with all kinds of new stuff & a new video to tell you all about the current direction of The College Project. There are so many exciting things going on in my life, and I absolutely cannot wait to tell you all about them! This summer has been a crazy, amazing, great two months so far.. I went on the trip of a lifetime with my mom, came home & graduated (yay!), spent a few days at home, traveled some more, took a trip to Dallas, and my life is kind of starting to slow down now. I have been so, so blessed, and I just want to take some time to thank every person who has supported The College Project! You all believed and supported this idea from the very beginning, and I can’t tell you what that means to a so-called “dreamer,” like me. I have sent out cards to all of my supporters (and they are still going out, if you haven’t received yours yet!), and I just want you to know that I believe with all my heart that you will be so blessed for your generosity & prayer.
